Genshin Impact 4.0 Fontain Update all Information and Leaks

The Hoyoverse has officially announced all the new information about the upcoming Genshin Impact update 4.0. The new Genshin Impact update will take players to the new Hydro region FONTAIN. The Genshin Impact 4.0 will go live on August 16th with new characters, map area, story quest and many more events.

The livestream to reveal the Fontain and Genshin Impact 4.0 was on August 4th and revealed all the information about the upcoming update and Fontain.

Genshin Impact version 4.0 Character Banners

Version 4.0 of Genshin Impact will have three new characters added to the game, all three of them from the Fontaion region. The first Character banner will have Lyney and Yelan as featured five star characters and Lynette as the new four-star character.

The second character banner will have Zhongli and Childe(Tartaglia) as featured 5 stars and Freminet as the new four-star character.

Lyney is the new 5-star character and will be a Pyro Bow user, Lynette will be an Anemo sword user and will be a 4-star character. Freminet is a Cryo Claymore user and a 4-star character.

Here are some of the other characters which will be released in later updates- Navia (Geo), Wriothesley, Sigewine, Neuvilette, Cloride (Electro) and Furina (Hydro, Archon), The Knave/Arlecchino (Pyro, Fatui).

Genshin Impact 4.0 New Artifact Sets

The version 4.0 update of Genshin Impact will also bring two new Artifact sets to the game - Golden Troupe and Marechaussee Hunter.

Golden Troupe

Two-piece bonus: Increases Elemental Skill damage by 20%
Four-piece bonus: Increases Elemental Skill damage by 25%. Additionally, when not on the field, Elemental skill damage will be further increased by 25%. This effect will be cleared 2s after taking the field.

Marechaussee Hunter

wo-piece bonus: Increases Normal and Charged Attack damage by 15%
Four-piece bonus: When current HP increased or decreases, Crit Rate will be increased by 12% for 5 seconds. Max 5 stacks.

Genshin Impact 4.0 Fontain: What's New?

The new region Fontain will be the fifth out of seven Teyvat regions. This Archon of Fontain is Focalors the Hydro Archon. There will be many new gameplay features with the upcoming region. here are the new features unique to the Fontain Region.

In the Fontain the players will be able to dive underwater and explore the quest and puzzles there. The explorations will be around 50-50 for the land and underwater in Fontain.

The Fontain will also have a new traveling mechanism called Aquabus. It will have three separate routes for the players to travel.

In Fontain, their two hidden separate elements for the characters which will decide how they will interact with the enemies and the puzzles.

The new enemies in Fontain will be Mecha (Robots). Fontain also has a very wide variety of flora and fauna especially underwater.

In the version 4.0 update, there will be two new world bosses, a new artifact, a talent book domain and a weapon ascension domain.

The Artifact Strongbox will also have the addition of 8 new artifact sets. Now all the Artifacts from the first three regions will be available in the strongbox.

In the battlepass, 5 more weapons will be added and the old weapons will also stay. So the players will get to choose from 10 weapons in total from battlepass.
