Global Esports eliminated from VCT APAC Challengers | VCT 2022 APAC results
Global Esports become the first team to be eliminated from APAC Challengers after loosing both of their play-in games. GE finished the event with a last place finish and $2,000 USD. Indian Valorant Fans will now be rooting for their number 1 seed Velocity Gaming who will be playing from March 16th in group stages.
South Asia's and India's number 2 seed, Global Esports were placed in play-ins Group B of VCT 2022 APAC Challengers. They needed to win 2 out of games to move onto group stages. GE were the previous VCC champion and the first Indian team to play in any VCT event. In last year's APAC LCQ, GE managed to win a series and had a better performance than this event.

Including GE a total of 8 teams were fighting in play-ins for the 4 remaining spot in main event of VCT 2022 APAC Challengers 1. In group B of play-ins Global Esports were the most hyped up and favourite team to move on to group stages.
In their opening game GE faced Hong Kong's Griffin E-sports. Team Griffin won the series 2-0, Icebox 13-6 and Haven 13-11. GE then faced Vietnam's Fancy United in an elimination game. Fancy United lost their first series 0-2 against No Namers. In this elimination series GE looked under heavy pressure and every un organized, they lost a lot of round due to some basic mistakes which caused them to loose this series. Fancy United took this series 2-0, Icebox 13-10 and Acend 13-11 and eliminated Global Esports from VCT 2022 APAC Challengers.
Griffin E-sports and Fancy United will face each other in a do-or-die series. The winner will move onto group stages whereas the looser will be eliminated. From group B No-Namers are already qualified for group stages after winning both of their play-in games. The group stage of APAC Challengers will begin from March 16th.
