Guild and Big qualifies for VCT EMEA Challengers 2022, second qualifiers to start from Jan 20
Guild Esports and BIG secured top 2 finish in closed qualifiers for VCT Stage 1 Challengers and qualified to the VCT Stage 1 Challengers. This event officially kicked off the 2022 season of Valorant Champions tour, closed qualifiers 2 will start from January 20th and will decide the rest of the teams in Challengers 1.
VCT EMEA Challengers first closed qualifiers for Europe had 8 teams go head to head to secure two spots in the EMEA Challengers. From these 8 teams Guild and BIG directly qualified for EMEA stage 1 challengers whereas Vitality, Alliance, Rebels and Tenstar secured a place in second qualifiers for Challengers. With a bottom 2 finish G2 and Team BDS had to play open qualifiers to first qualify for closed qualifiers 2.
VCT EMEA Challenger closed qualifiers result-
Guild had a dominating run in closed qualifiers as they cruise through upper bracket to secure the first seed. On the other hand BIG after loosing to Vitality in semi-finals were dropped down to lower bracket and won 3 straight series to secure a top finish in first closed qualifiers.
Both these team beat Team Vitality 3-0 in their respective upper and lower bracket finals to qualify for VCT 2022 EMEA Stage 1 challengers.
VCT Stage 1 EMEA Challengers qualified teams-
Guild and BIG now has joined 6 others team in EMEA stage1 Challengers, a total of 8 teams has been finalised out of 16 who will be competing in Challengers. So far the qualified teams are -

The 4 teams which are directly invited to EMEA Challengers are decide by VCT 2021 season. While the rest 8 teams will be decided by closed qualifiers in all 3 regions. Challengers 1 will begin on February 11 and will decide teams for Master 1 from EMEA region.
