IEM Chengdu 2024: Results and Playoffs Schedule | Group Stage Finished

The IEM Chengdu 2024 started on April 8th with 16 teams competing for the $250,00 prizepool. The IEM Chengdu will be a two-phase event, first the group stage and then the 6 team playoffs from April 12th.

China will be hosting its first Counter-Strike event in around 5 years, the Intel Extreme Masters will be hosted at Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre of Chengdu City. In IEM Chengdu, some of the top teams are not participating like Major Winner Navi, Vitality, and Team Spirit, this gives other teams a good opportunity to win this event.

IEM Chengdu 2024 Playoffs: Schedule and Matchups

The playoffs are starting on April 12th for the IEM Chengdu 2024. Final 6 teams are ready to compete for the title of IEM. The remaining teams are arguably the six best teams of the event, so there were no major upsets in the end.

The Grand Finals will be played on April 14th.

IEM Chengdu Group Stage Results

The group stage started on April 8th, 16 teams were divided into two groups of 8 teams each and played in a double-elimination bracket. each group's top seed will be in the playoffs semi-finals whereas 2nd and 3rd seed will be in the quarterfinals.

After the three days of the group stage, the playoff teams are final. The six teams, 3 from each group secured a spot in the playoffs.

From Group A, Mouz secured the top seed and qualified for the semi-finals of the playoffs. Mouz beat Team Liquid 2-0 in the upper bracket final. In the lower bracket final, G2 beat Heroic and secured the final playoff spot.

In the Group B final, Astralis beat VP and qualified for the semi-finals. In the lower bracket final Faze Clan beat FlyQuest to qualify for the quarterfinals along with VP.

The IEM Chengdu has a $250,000 prizepool which will be divided among all 16 teams along with some Blast premier points. The winner of IEM Chengdu will also qualify for the IEM Cologne 2024.
