Matumbaman leaves Team Secret Dota 2 after two successful years

Lasse "MATUMBAMAN" Aukusti and Team Secret Dota 2 parted ways. This news was announced on November 15th. Matumbaman joined the Team Secret roster back in November 2019 and had two great successful years with Secret and led the team to be the best team in Europe.

The 26 year old Finnish carry player won more than 10 events with Secret, the 2020 was completely dominated by team Secret with Matumbaman. He also won The Leipzig Major with them in January 2020.

Team Secret finished TI 10 with a third place finish which was a good run for any other team. But for Secret the only acceptable result was winning The International 10 as they were the favourites. After the TI 10 their offlaner player Zai also left the organisation and joined Team Liquid, now Matumbaman also parted ways with them. Team Secret was the only stable roster in Dota 2 in previous 2 years but now it is looking like Secret is also looking to rebuild.

Another chapter has ended, but never forgotten. Lasse is an amazing guy and I really enjoyed being teammates with him. We shared some great moments together and I am sure that we will keep crossing paths outside of our careers. Good luck to you Matu!
