EG vs LOUD: Lower Bracket Final Result
In the lower bracket finals, EG and LOUD played each other in an insane nail biting best of 5 series. The winner of this would have qualified for the grand final against PRX.
EG won the first two maps - Ascent 14-12 and Lotus 13-4 to gain a 2-0 lead in the series. LOUD then pulled off an insane comeback to tie the series at 2-2. LOUD won Pearl 13-8 and Split 13-5.
The final map of the series was Bind and after a close first half, EG managed to close the map 13-8 to win the series 3-2.
LOUD finished the Valorant Champions 2023 with a third-place finish and $250,000 USD and EG will now face PRX in the grand finals.
PRX vs EG Grand Finals Preview
In the grand finals of Valorant Champions 2023, PRX and EG will have an upper bracket final rematch but this time in a best-of-5 series. Paper Rex defeated Evil Geniuses 2-1 in the upper bracket finals for their spot in the grand finals. The grand finals will be played on August 26th, 12 AM in Los Angeles.
Both these teams have a history against each other. In the VCT Tokyo masters 2023 EG was the team that eliminated PRX after beating them in the lower bracket finals. This grand final will be the chance for both these teams to win their first ever VCT international event.
