VCT Pacific Kickoff Results, Gen.G and PRX qualify for Masters
The VCT Pacific Kickoff has finished on February 25th. This was the first event of the men's VCT 2024 season and was for the qualification of VCT Madrid Masters 2024. The Pacific region has two slots for the Masters. The Pacific kickoff was hosted in Seoul, South Korea.
Paper Rex vs Gen.G: VCT Pacific Kickoff Grand Finals
The VCT Pacific had 11 teams, 10 partner teams and one Ascension team Bleed. After the group stage, play-in and playoffs. Gen.G and Paper Rex were the final two teams and faced each other in the grand finals.
The grand final was a best-of-5 series and was only for seeding, both these teams had already qualified for the VCT Madrid Masters 2024. The first two games of the series were one-sided and was shared between both teams, Gen.G won Ascent 13-5 and PRX won Split 13-4 to tie the series 1-1. After that, Gen.G won two straight maps, Lotus 13-11 and Bind 13-4 to win the series 3-1 and secure the top seed from the Pacific region.
Gen.G's Karon won MV for the tournament as he led his team to the VCT Madrid masters as the first seed from the Pacific region.
VCT Pacific Kickoff 2024 Results: Group Stage
The 11 participating teams were divided into three groups with 4,4 and 3 teams. The top teams from each group qualified for the playoffs whereas second seeds faced each other in the play-in for one final spot in the playoffs.

VCT Pacific Kickoff Play-in
In the play-in stage for Pacific Kickoff, Zeta, Secret and Gen.G fought for one final spot in the playoffs. Gen.G beat Team Secret 2-1 and Zeta 2-0 to qualify for the playoffs.
The VCT Madrid Masters 2024 will start on March 14th. Eight teams from 4 regions (2 teams per region) will compete in the Madrid Masters.
