Velocity Gaming signs MW1 | Valorant news India

Velocity gaming today announced their signing of Mohit "MW1" Wakle to their valorant roster on their Instagram handle. The 23 year old was one of the top player without any org in India, he was 78th ranked in Valorants APAC leader board in 2020.


MW1 will not be replacing any current player on VLT and will be in their six player line up.



MW1 started his career as a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player with the IGN SpawN. The 23 year old then decided to take brake from esports to complete his studies.


After winning Skyesports Valorant League 2021 with Rajasthan Strikers and also winning the "Emerging Player of the Tournament" award, MW1's demand in Indian Valorant scene had increased rapidly and now finally he decided to join Velocity Gaming.


Velocity Gaming recently lost two of its leading players as Karan "Excali" Mhaswadkar left the squad for Samurai Esports, and Sabyasachi "Antidote" Bose joined GodLike Esports. Velocity Gaming signed Agneya "Marzil" Koushik last month to replace Excali and now MW1 to replace Antidote.

After riot announced the VCC in India and Asia pacific region all the teams have been looking to make their roster stronger to compete with other big organisation from Asia. As from VCC they now have chance to play in APAC Last Chance qualifiers to reach Masters Berlin. After the announcement many roster changes are happening in Indian pro scene and many big changes by velocity gaming as they signed biggest esports name in India Marzil and now and emerging star MW1.
