Vitality won IEM Winter Season 16, defeat NiP in Grand Final

Vitality won the IEM Winter Season 16, they defeat NiP in grand finals to win the first event of Season 4 of Intel Grand Slam. It was an one sided finals as Team Vitality dominated the NiP 3-0. Vitality's super star player Zywoo was named the most valuable player of the IEM Winter.

French team, Vitality won $100,000 USD after winning the Intel Extreme Masters Season 16 Winter. NiP finished tournament with a decent second place finish and $42,00 USD.

NiP were playing with a handicap as their star player dev1ce was not playing in grand finals, phzy was invited from the young Ninja's roster to fill in for dev1ce in semi final and grand final.

Vitality vs NiP IEM Winter Grand Finals result-

This was a rematch in between these two teams as they also faced each other earlier in this tournament in group A, where also Vitality defeated NiP 2-0. NiP had a good chance to take revenge on Vitality but failed to do so as Vitality dominated NiP finals. Team Vitality won the grand finals 3-0 - Inferno 16-10, Dust2 16-10 and Nuke 16-13.

Both these teams will now compete in Blast premier World Finals which will start on December 14th and will have a 1million USD prize pool. Also with this performance Team Vitality has also qualified directly for group stages of IEM Katowice 2022.
