Genshin Impact has released the new hydro character, Yelan in patch 2.7. Yelan is the first hydro character who has damage scaling with HP, she is a bow character and is most suitable in an off-field sub Dps support role. She is a very fun character to play and a new fan-favorite among Genshin Impact players.

Yelan has a very similar elemental burst to Xingqiu, but Yelan provides more damage and also buffs the damage of her teammates. During her burst, the damage dealt by on-field character will increase by 3.5% every sec (max 50%). In her elemental skill, she goes into an invisibility running state and marks the enemies who come in contact, dealing damage and generating 4 hydro particles.

Best Artifact sets on Yelan

The best 4pc artifact set for Yelan is the Emblem of Severed Fate. Yelan needs a very high energy recharge, this set provides ER and additional damage based on the Energy recharge. Y

Yelan can also use a variety of 2 pcs combinations-

2 pc Heart of depth - 15% Hydro damage bonus
2 pc Noblesse oblige - 20% elemental burst damage bonus
2 pc Tenacity of Millelith - 20% HP bonus
2 pc Emblem of Severed Fate - 20% energy recharge

Best Artifact Stats on Yelan

Yelan's damage is solely based on her max HP, therefore the attack stats are useless on her. Before anything you should focus mainly on her Energy recharge and try to fix it. If you use an ER bow and run Yelan in a dual hydro team, you can go for HP sand.

Sands - ER or HP
Goblet - Hydro damage bonus
Circlet - Crit or HP

If you have a decent crit value and ratio, sometimes using an HP circlet will give you more damage.

Sub-stat priority on yelan should be in this order-

ER > HP / Crit

In single hydro teams, you should first target around a 200% ER on Yelan, in double hydro teams you can work with 160 ER.

Best Weapon for Yelan

Yelan's damage through her skill and burst is completely based on her max HP. So the base attack on a weapon doesn't matter at all, the secondary stat is the only valuable stat from the weapon.

Both these bows have an energy recharge secondary stat, which solves her high burst cost issue and improves the burst up time, therefore improving overall damage.

Best 5 star weapon choice-

Despite being the signature weapon of Yelan, Aqua Simulacra is not considered the best in-slot weapon for her due to her ER issues. Using Aqua Simulacra will make it very easy to build the crit ratio but will cause the burst uptime issue.

On the other hand, Elegy of the end resolves all the ER problems of Yelan and provides an overall damage boost for the entire team.
